I am now meeting pets and their people inside the home, whilst observing social distancing and using measures such as face masks where needed.

I am also carrying out remote consultations using free software such as Zoom and this, combined with video footage of your pets, enables me to help you and your pets safely if you would rather not meet face-to-face. Please do get in touch if you have any questions or would like to discuss the remote consultation format further.

Are you having sleepless nights over your dog or cat’s behavioural problems? However well looked after and loved pets are, on occasion problems can develop which can add stress to everyday life. I am here to help! I am a vet with ten years experience, I have seen it all and am not judgemental as I know how difficult these situations can be.

My name is Rosalind Wrightson (BVSc MSc CCAB MRCVS), and I run a behavioural service called Wright Behaviour. I cover the Bristol and Somerset area, treating behavioural problems in dogs and cats.

Every pet is an individual, and so are their problems, but the issues I look at include:

  • Dog separation problems
  • Noise phobias, such as fear of fireworks
  • Aggression in dogs
  • Anxious cats
  • Toileting problems in cats

I work in partnership with owners, to identify the underlying causes of an unwanted behaviour. We can then put together a plan using positive training techniques, rather than punishment-focussed methods, to address the causes and so improve the quality of life of both owner and pet!

I don’t currently offer dog obedience training sessions, although they can be of great benefit. If you would like help with issues such as recall and following commands, then you could visit the website of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK (APDT) for further information:
